Relationship coaching :Is a Good business manager is a bad Family Manager ?

Mrs Radha a six moths old bride and also a working women in an MNC, with MBA specialization in HR says to her husband " I have been managing the firm for the last 3 years, I am an MBA graduate ,I can fix the problem. This is not the way you and your mum are supposed to behave, Please dont cross your limits, ok" now get lost."

The voice of Mrs Radha comes from her professional competency. Mrs Radha came for relationship coaching with her husband, once she has understood the root cause o her troubling relationship,. she transformed her style of communication and the couple are living happily.

If You look at the basic premise of a business it is Money and Profit. If you look at the basic premise of a family this is love and affection. The skills required for running a business is IQ(intelligence Quotient ) skills. The skill required for running a family is EQ(Emotional quotient) skills. and both are different skill sets. A business Manger operates his business system to achieve a profit over looking emotions. He has a commonly accepted system to take care of any deviations in the business.A family manager has to operate his family to achieve, harmony peace love and affection among his family members, This family members are creatures of emotions and they are not creations of logical systems

Can a business manger use the same business skills to operate the Family? Can a family manger operate the emotional management system to run his business ? The value system of a business model is money. The value system of a family model is relationship. This like an officer doing the job of surgeon in a hospital. Both require different set of qualities. I have seen many business men who are good in their business skills, prove very bad family managers. Relationship Coaching help them in harmonizing the personal and professional skills for manging the work life balance
